Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on March 5th 1770 between a "Patriot' mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonist's were killed and this led to a campaign by speech writers to rouse the ire of the citizenry. The Colonist's started this fight and tried to lie about it in court but they lost the trial. The soldiers only fired because one of the colonist's yelled ''fire'' and that's where the deaths began. -

The Boston Tea Party
Sons of liberty dump British tea. On this day in 1773 a group of Massachussetts Colonist's disguised as Mohawk Indians board three British tea ships moored in Boston Harbor and dump 342 chests of tea into the water. Now known as "The Boston Tea Party" the midnight raid was a protest of the "Tea Act" of 1773. -

The Intolerable Acts were the American Patriots term for the united laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston tea party. They were meant to punish the Massachusetts Colonist for their defiance of throwing a large shipment of tea into the Boston Harbor in reaction by being taxed by the British. -

Their destination was Lexington where they would capture colonial leaders Sam Adams, and John Hancock, then concored where they would seize gunpowder.
