The proclamation of 1763 signed by King George III, prohibited any English settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. This made all colonists upset to the point that they were looking forward to a war. This law became a stamp in the upcoming war events.

The Sugar Act was passed by parliament to pay for the war debt brought on by the French and Indian war and to help pay for the expenses of running the colonies and newly acquired territories. It also cut the molasses use. It also prohibited the foreign run.

The quartering Act allowed royal troops to stay in houses or empty buildings if Barracks were not available. The colonists would have to not only feed the troops, but house them. Also if the troops didn't like the way the colonists treated the troop, then that colonists would have to under go a horrible punishment.

The Boston Massacre occured when a mob harassed British soldiers who fired their muskets pointblank into the crowd. The muskets killed three instantly, mortally wounding two others and injuring six. This was the moment the revolution started.

The British closed the port of Boston in 1774 until the price of the dumped tea was recovered. They moved the capital of Massachusetts to Salem, and made Marblehead the official port of entry for the Massachusetts colony. The colonists were thrilled and conquerd the British troops on the port.

The Intolerable Acts were four series of laws that were passed down by the British parliament to punish the colonists because of the Boston Tea Party. The acts were torture divices and killed people. The acts forced the population to decrease tramendously.

Made all law officers subject to appointment by the royal governor and banned all town meetings that didn't have approval of the royal governor. It didn't matter if the meeting was about making a new law they would still have to get permission. Yet some groups still had meetings like the Sons of Liberty.

This law allowed the royal governor of a colony to move trials to other colonies or even to England if they fear that juries in the colonies wouldn't judge a case fairly. Although this law was created most colonies would keep the trial in their colony. They did this because most people believe and trust their colony to do the right thing.

The Quebec Act was an act that granted civil government and religious freedom to catholics living in Quebec. Not only did Quebec have tons of churches but a normal city. Also Quebec was a place that increased in population very quickly.
