Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was a rule that the British set on the colonists. The rule was that the colonists could not venture past the Appellation mountains and if anyone was already past them they would have to move back. They gave out this rule because the Indians were still fighting over the Ohio country and the British didn't care for the land. -
The Sugar Act
The sugar act cut the selling rate of molasses. They also cut out the production and sales of foreign rum. They also cut foreign sugar. -
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was a rule that the colonists had to pay the British with taxes. They had to pay their military since the French and Indian War. They had to stamp on papers. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a protest/riot. The colonists where protesting and someone threw a rock at the British soldiers. They felt that they were under attack so they opened fire. Five people died and 6 were injured. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was a huge protest. The colonists were mad because of the over taxing that the British gave them. The colonists dumped almost 400 chests of tea that the British had. It made the colonists want to fight for independence. -
Administration of Justice Act
This was the act that changed laws. The laws helped try to prevent murder from happening. This made it a fair trial for British people who were charged with stuff. -
The Massachusetts Government Act
This act was made to give royal governments more powerful. Also for controlling the Massachusetts Bay. It was also made to take more power away from the local government. -

Quartering Act
The Quartering Act was made for British soldiers could live in colonists homes. It also said that if the soldiers outnumbered the houses they would sleep in barns. Sometimes they would also sleep in Barracks.
