    Proclaimation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 didn't let any English people settle west of the Appalachian mountain. It also required the people who were already west of the Appalachian mountains to head east.
    The colonists didn’t like the Proclamation of 1763 because they thought it removed their right
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The sugar act was passed to pay the debt from the french and indian war. It increases the price of sugar and other items such as: Coffee, indigo, and wine. It also was passed to help manage the colonies.
  • Stamp act

    Stamp act
    The Stamp act was passed in March 1764. This was the first direct taxation to the colonies. This taxed mostly paper products. The colonists did not like the stamp act and so the colonists protested the stamp act.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston massacre occurred when a group of colonists bugged British soldiers. The British soldiers fired their muskets at them killing 3 and two more later and injuring 6. Colonists immediately responded with propaganda.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party occurred when the “Sons of Liberty” dressed as Mohawk Indians boarded 3 ships. The ships they boarded included: The Eleanor, The Beaver, and The Dartmouth. They dumped 45 tons of tea into the Boston harbor.

    Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts or as the British call it the Coercive acts were laws that were sponsored by the British prime minister. The laws included: Boston port act, Quartering act, Quebec act, Massachusetts Bay Regulating Act, Impartial Administration of Justice Act. The one that I find most interesting is the Quartering act.
