  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 was a boundary that the British put upon themselves to appease tension among the natives because they were scared they would have to pay for another war. The boundary was to keep colonists out of the west side of the Appalachian mountains. This would mean the colonists who fought a war for the land and who were living there would have to leave.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
The sugar act was a taxing act in 1764 that was bad for sugar cane farmers. the government taxed things like sugar and molasses so it was hard for people to sell them. This was also bad for the morale of the people because they were depressed from the war and this just made it worse.
  • the Quartering acts

    the Quartering acts
this act was an act that some people were good with and some were not. it was an act that said people would have to house soldiers in barracks and public houses. this was bad because life was hard for some and having another person there was just harder.
  • Period: to

    Stamp act

this was an act that was in favor of the English. the stamp act was an act that taxed newspapers books and playing cards for the American colonies. the American colonists were mad about this because they were taxed and the English weren't.
  • the Boston Massacre

    the Boston Massacre
This was no massacre. This was just a couple of people dead but it was a big deal. There was a "Patriot mob" throwing this like sticks stones and snowballs at the British soldiers and the British got made and shot randomly into a crowd. 5 people died but there were hundreds verbally harassing them and throwing multiple things at them and I don't think they liked that very much.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party
This happened because the British ruled the American colonies at a time and the Americans were taxed unfairly. the British were allowed to stay in any house they wanted to. So George Washington and the founding fathers had enough so they fought back and dumped all the tea into the ocean to declare independence from England.
  • Boston Port acts

    Boston Port acts
The British were mad because they threw their precious tea into the ocean so everyone had to pay a significant amount of money to compensate England. They closed the Boston port to anyone buying or selling in large amounts because of all of the tea that was dumped. The citizens of Boston did not like all the money they had to pay for the dumping of the tea but it was a key part of the American revolution.
  • Massachusetts Government Act

    Massachusetts Government Act
this act was a restructuring act where they gave more power to more royalty. this was mostly in government and that's why it's called the Massachusetts Government Act. this angered the others that weren't royalty who were put down because of this act. ultimately this act was straight-up bad for non royalty people but for royalty it was good.
  • Administration of Justice Act

    Administration of Justice Act
this was a pretty fair act in my opinion even though it was put in favor of the British. this act instated that if British soldiers did anything illegal while on their job they would have a fair trial. I think this is a good law because they are just doing their job and that should not be illegal. plus this act would help the British soldiers significantly during hard times like if they were injured or poor life would be harder in jail because of these things.
  • Qubec act

    Qubec act
this act helped out the french and made life easier for them. this act let french Catholics get good jobs in the government. this helped the government to see ways to help other French Catholics. this also helped the churches now that there were Catholics in government.
