  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war was a war between the French and the British.The war started all because of land called the Ohio River valley.George Washington lead the British to victory against the French claiming the Ohio River valley as theirs.
  • Proclamation Line Of 1763

    Following the French and Indian war the British establish a border to separate the colonist from the Native Americans in the newly won western territory. The Application mountains were the physical border it was illegal to cross because the British did not want the colonist to make the natives even more mad.They thought that it would start a war and they were already in debt from the first one.

    This was the first tax it mad the colonist even more mad at the British the colonist were mad because they fought in the war and now they have to pay for it and they are really mad because they have no representation in parliament so basically they are paying there government and its not really there government.

    This was the second tax the colonist had to pay because the British were in debt from the French and Indian war this was when the colonist started to get really angry they started risking there live just for there freedom.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    This tax was to help pay for the war but it was really made to show that England had power over the colonist the colonist snapped they started killing tax collectors by drowning them with tea or they would hang the tax collectors for there liberty and freedom.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston massacre started because of a couple of kids who were colonist one kid told the other kid to try and take a British solders sword the British solder resisted and struck the boys hand then about 200 colonist showed up and started to throw things like sticks,stones,ice,and snow balls at the British solders.the colonist were yelling at the British solders to fire at them and so the British did killing lots of colonist.

    The Committees of correspondence was very important to the colonist it was to form bonds between the thirteen colonies so they were able to cooperate in the up coming American Revolution.
  • Intololerable Acts

    The intolerable acts were created as a punishment because of the Boston tea party there were 4 parts to this act the fist one was closing the harbor witch led to many people losing there jobs.The second act was all British solders accused of murder would be sent to England for a fair trail.The next act was the quartering act.Colonist would have to feed and house British solders in there homes.The fourth act was the Massachusetts government act putting the colony under control of a governer.

    60 colonist dressed up as mow hawk Indians they went to the the Boston harbor and boarded the ships.The colonist threw 342 crates of tea into the Boston harbor they cleaned the mess before the left this left the British in and even more debt.
  • First Continental Congress

    The Continental Congress was important it was the first time that all of the colonies except for Georgia were working together on something the first Continental Congress was held by some important people like Sam Addams John Addams and George Washington.The Continental congress was made to tell the king that they still honor him but the colonist wanted representation in parliament.
  • The Battles of Lexington and Concord

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord
    At dawn the British solders arrived in Lexington they saw about 70 Militiamen they were outnumbered by a lot there were only 70 of them and there were 700 British solders. The first shot was taken by the Militiamen eight of them died and no red coats were harmed British solders started taking guns and ammunition from all the colonist.Eventually they started marching back to Boston but unfortunately for them over 2000 Militiamen had gathered in the area this leading to the American Revolution.
