Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 was the British putting a border down for the colonist. It made it so they coudn't go west of the Appalachian mountains.This made the colonist mad because they just fought and died for that land. This made the British and the colonist even more mad at each other. -
The Sugar act
The Sugar act was a tax on sugar. The british wanted to stop the smuggling trade. The British also wanted money because they were in debt from the French and Indian war. -

They stamp act happened on March 22, 1765. The Stamp act made it so that anything printed was taxed. This act made colonist really mad and started mobs. The money was suppose to go to help pay for the British troops that were in the colonies. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre happened on March 5 1770. There was a mob of patriots throwing things. They were very mad. the British soldiers then shot and killed 5 people. -
The Boston Tea party.
The Boston tea party was colonist mad about the taxes. They were angry so they dumped 342 chest of tea into the ocean. This made the colonist join together and want to fight for independence. -

In March the British passed the Boston port act.This closed the port of Boston.The British demanded that they pay for the tea they dumped. -

The Administration of Justice Act happened in 1774. This act was also called the Murder Act. This act was to make sure British officials got fair trials. -

The Massachusetts Government act made it so that the Massachusetts government had to give the royally appointed more power. They made this act because of the Boston tea party. The British wanted to punish Massachusetts fo rthere acts. -
