    British soldiers kill 5 colonists and injure 6 more when they are tested by an angry, anti-tax mob. The soldiers were tried for murder and defended by John Adams. They were found not guilty, but the colonists believe they will kill to enforce laws.

    The "Sons of Liberty," dressed as Indians, dumped large shipments of British Tea into Boston Harbor. The British imposed more acts on the colonies and forced them to pay for the lost tea.

    The Intolerable Acts were a series of acts passed on the colonies by Parliment. This was in a sense the straw that broke the camel's back to the colonists.
  • The Battle of Lexington & Concord

    The Battle of Lexington & Concord
    This is the first battle of the American Revolution. 4,000 colonists attacked British troops traveling from Boston to Concord and then back to Boston. The British suffered 273 casualties and the Americans lost 90. The colonists were now engaged in war.
