Treaty of Paris

Treaty of Paris: 1763- Ended the French and Indian War. Britain won the war amd France lost ALL of its colonies in North America.

NOTE: Month and day may not be accurate. Actual day could not be found. Britain raises taxes on the American colonists in order to pay for the French and Indian War.

Sugar Act

Apr 5, 1764

Britain Parliament taxed colonists for goods made of molasses, such as sugar and wine. This angered colonists, due to excessive use of these items.

Stamp Act

Mar 22, 1765

British passes this act, stating that colonists must pay a tax for everything that is printed in and form.

Declaratory Act

Mar 18, 1766

This act stated that rules/governments created by colonists were outlawed, and only Parliament were allowed to do so. This was created after the repeal of the Stamp Act.
