The British imposed this act that had the colonists pay taxes on any printed materials. The colonists responded by boycotting all British goods.

Sons of Liberty

This group of colonists was created because of the stamp act. They had meetings to decide on what do to do when British imposed new taxes.

Declaratory act

Mar 18, 1766

The British said that they can impose any new law and the colonists have to folow it.

Boston Masacre

Mar 1, 1770

A group of British soldiers fired into a crowd of colonists and killed 5 people.

Tea Acts

May 10, 1773

Made the colonists buy only certain types of teas. The colonists responded by dumping tea into the harbor.

Boston Tea Party

Dec 10, 1773

A group of colonists were fed with the taxes of teas so they dressed up as indians and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor.

Intolerable Acts

Nov 10, 1774

These were also knows as the Coercive Acts. Many colonists thought these acts betrayed their rights.
