The Treaty of Paris
It ended the French and Indian War in this treaty. The French lost Canada and Lousiana, then they gave Louisana to the Spainsh. The Treaty Of Paris strengthen all of the 13 colonies. -
Pontiac's War Begin
The Indian leader by name of Pontica led the Ottawa Indians to strick against the British. The Pontiac War took place in the French and Indian War to get the British against the French and Indian alliance. -
The Sugar Act Was Passed
The Sugar Act lowered imported taxes on the forgein molasses. It also created courts to collect taxes and and tried to stop the robbers. Anything that was being exported from the 13 colonies had to go thorught Britain before going to other countries. -
Stamp Act Was Passed
They taxed all the colonists on all printed materials such as books, newpapers, documents, contracts, and land deeds. The Stamp Act was the first tax on the colonists. -
The Boston Massacre
Colonist threw rocks and snowballs at Britsih soldiers, The British shot the mod which led to killing at least 5 colonists. The Boston Massacre became an important event in the American rebellion against the British. -
Parliament Passes Tea Act
Boycotted tea made the British company lose money. Parliament cuts off the middlemen in order to make the tea cheaper. Colonists boycottted becuase there was still taxes. At the end all the colonist started drinking Liberty Tea. -
The Boston Tea Party
The colonists dressed up as Indians and went on the ships and dumped tea into the harbor. While the people in Boston had rejoined, The British Parliament had set up a few laws that punished the colony which was closing the port until repayment was given to the government for all the lost tea. -
The Intolerable Acts/ Coercive Acts Was Passed
The Intolerable Acts forced the colonists to held British troups in their homes. The colonists despised the idea of the British that they are going to shut down all trade routes. -
The First Continental Congress
Leaders from the 12 colonies called a meeting in Philadelphia to agree to boycoot all British goods. Each colony set up an army of citizens. They discussed what their relationship with the British was and how they could change it and they didn't want the First Continental Congress to feel as if they want to gain independence from the Brtitish. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
The British General sent out about 700 soldiers destory all the ammo and weapons the colonists had stored in the town of Concord. The British also had planned on capturing Samuel Adams and John Hancok which were the 2 powerful leaders of the Patriot movement.
