Ended the French and Indian War, between the British and French. It was signed by Britain, Spain and France. -
Sugar Act
The British placed a tax on sugar, wine, and other important things. The British did this because they wanted more money; the British wanted this money to help provide more security for the colonies. The security was expensive because of the Indians and fights with them. This angered the colonists becuase these goods just listed were very important to the colonists. -
Stamp Act
It was an act that required all printed materials to have a stamp on it. This angered the colonists, because they bought a lot of printed materials and it made it harder for them to afford it. -
Boston Tea Party
In this, anit-tax members of this group dumbed tea into the boston harbor, including Samuel Adams. -
Tea Act
It put a tax on Tea. It angered the colonists, because the colonists enjoyed tea and the act only made it more difficult to afford. -
Intolerable Acts
Also known as the Coercive Acts, in, this Act Parliament closes Boston Port. It angers colonists, because colonists liked to trade with other nations for their benefit. -
Battle of Lexington
It was the first battle of the American Revolution. The British suffered 273 casualties and the American suffered 90.
