Proclamation of 1763
The proclamation of 1763 is a boundary marked by the British. It started October 7th 1763. It was meant for not letting colonists settle into their own land that they have rights for. It angered colonists because the British were telling them what they could and couldn't do and it was way too strict for those colonists so they lost it and threw a fit. -
The Sugar Act
The Sugar Act started April 5th 1764. The sugar act started because of trades. Another point was for it to represent the British having a big decrease in population. -
The Stamp Act
The stamp acts as income taxes like taxing newspapers, legal documents, even dice and playing cards. It is mostly adding taxes to things that didn't need to be taxed. The stamp act was March 22, 1765. It helped the British troops during there battle that was called "The Seven Years' War". -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was March 5th of 1770. March of 1770 The British soldiers planted in Boston to a full and open crowd and fired guns into the crowd and injured and killed multiple people. After that tragedy happened some people were living in poverty. The ones who were living in poverty were very very ill and had nowhere to go. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was December 16, 1773.The Boston Tea party was a crew called Sons Of Liberty and there were some dressed up as natives and they came to the Boston harbor and they dumped over 92,000 pounds of tea. They did this because they didn't think that they should have to have tax on their tea that they drink. -
The Intolerable Acts.
The Intolerable Act was May 20, 1774. The Intolerable Act was because of the Boston Tea Party actions that they made. Great Britain used brute force to try to get the rebellions deal that they had with the Americans, especially Massachusetts.There were also 4 punishments that were laws that had to be passed down to discipline the Sons Of Liberty for what they did and to teach them a lesson or they are going to get a worse punishment.
