Opium War 1839-1842
The British desire to open trade rutes with the Chinese in order to cover the demand over tea, the issue is that the Emperor ideology of isolated China from the foreign intervantion by only opening the port of Chanton for trade with foreigns, but the desire of the British for their precious tea was to big, that they started to sell ilegaly Opium to China until the tension bewteen this two countries were to big, provoking war. -
Unequal Treaties
At the end of war, China were crushed by the British, imposing to the Chinese unequal treaties making worst the situations of China peasents, opening to British traders in Canton to move to other 5 ports, ceded Hong Kong and giving special benefits to the British, leading to the humilliation of the Qing Dynasty -
Fall of the Qing Dynsaty
The humilliation by the imperialist European, the resisment of the Chinese people against the foreigns, provoking the Boxer Rebellion, the lost of the idea of Heaven Rule after losing the Opium Wars and the First Sino-Japanesse War and the Ruso-Japanesse War, the death of the emperor and the succesor the emperor Pu Yi (2 years old boy), the increasing taxes of the Prince Chun provoked the creation of the GMD leaderd by Sun Yixian and the betray of the imperialist by the side of Yuan Shikai -
Yuan Shikai Era 1912-1916
With Sun Yixian having the control over the south and Yuan Shikai over the north, the Sun believed that to unified China, was necessary to having a leader with expirience in politics as the General Shikai was the best for China, so they accord to elect Yuan Shikai as president as he created a National Assambly which in 1914 had the mayority GMD members (), but Yuan Shikai dissabled the parlament proclaimed himself emperor, but this was over due the Japan 21 demands and the death of Yuan Shikai -

Yuan Shikai Era
Yuan Shikai was an imperial general who was in charge to supress the opposition of the GMD, but instead make a deal with its president, Sun Yixian and make the Emperor to surrender and to making Yuan Shikai president of China and creating the National Assembly, he govern China until his death in 1916 -

During its rule, Yuan Shikai put his militar parthers in charge of the provinces, with his death, started a fight bewteen these province´s leaders for the power, making this one of the most violent eras of China history, with a lot of struggles the GMD could survive by domining fews provinces with its democracy -

First World War (China Role) 1917-1919
In 1917 China declaired war on Germany and tried to recover the Shandong colony that belong to Germany at the time, but also Japan was interested in the zone, so they also fought against the Germans in Shadong, even when China and Japan were not allies, so at the end of war, at the Versailles Peace Conference, Shadong were given to Japan, even when it was within Chinese territory, provoking even resentment bewteen the chinesse high clases. -
May Fourth Movement 1919
A movement in which was a protest leadered by the intelectual minds from teachers and students from Bejing University against the Peace conference and Japan taking control over Shandong -
First United Front 1923-1927
With the creation of the CCP in 1921 inspired in the Bolsheviks Revolution, and the warlord becoming more and more incontrolabe and violent, the two opposite parties, the CCP and the GMD will join in order to defeat the Warlords, until their relationship would be unsustainable -
Northern Expedition 1926
With the colaboration of the United Front, the warlods were defeated in just two years, by 1927 taking Hangzhou, Shangai and Nanjing, and by 1928 finally took Bejing ending the Warlord Era. Meanwhile the GMD declaired themselves as the legitime goverment of China in Nanjing. -
White Terror 1927
With the eminent defeat of the Warlords, the GMD decided to declair war to the next thread, the comunism, after the death of Sun Yuxian, the General Jiang jieshi took control over the GMD making it a anti-comunism party, so they decided to purify China of the comunist killing 250,000 comunist by end of 1927, breaking the alliance with the CCP and starting the first phase of the Civil WAR -
