I took the PSAT test at Palmer in the morning. -
College investigating
Start looking at colleges and sorting through mail and start to decide which colleges I am most interested in. -
Scholarship search
Start looking at scholarships and deciding which one's to apply for. -
PSAT scores
Recieved my PSAT scores. For reading I scored higher than 99% of sophomores, for math I scored higher than 86% of sophomores and for writing I scored higher than 90% of sophomores. Overall I was in the 88 percentile when compared with college bound juniors. -
Shadow
Shadowing at High Plains Veterinary Hospital to watch a sugery by Dr. Ann Pierce who I interviewed. After the interview she invited me to come and see a sugery on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday afternoon. -
AP test
Take the AP statistics test at 12:00 pm -
Start Junior year
Start junior year taking Biology HL in IB and either Enviornmental Societies and Systems or Physics -
PSAT
Take the PSAT again and apply for the National Merit Scholarship -
Recieve PSAT Scores
Recieve my PSAT scores and see if I qualify for the National Merit Scholorship -
Start planning college visits
Start narrowing down which colleges to visit -
Take the SAT or ACT
Take the SAT test or the ACT test -

Attend College
Attend a 4 year college to get my undergraduate degree in either a pre-vet program or in a major recommended by CSU such as microbiology. Colleges that have a pre-vet program are Western State Colorado University, Ohio Weslyan University and many more. -
Apply for Vet School
Apply for Vet school at CSU Fort Collins. Only one in every three applicants are accepted so there is no guarantee on making it in the first time applying. Many say that Vet school is more competative than Medical school. -
Graduate
Graduate with an Bacholars degree as my undergraduate -
Start Vet School
If I am accepted the first time I apply, I will begin a 4 year vet school. -
Work in the Teaching hospital
CSU has an on campus teaching hospital that students get to start working in 2-3 years in to Vet School -
Graduate
Graduate from Vet School -
Become Liscense
A vet has to have a liscense in the state they practice in just like doctors. -
Get a Job
From my interview I have learned that many vets have a job lined up for them before they graduate vet school. I hope to have a job lined up to go into after vet school.
