    During the battle of atlantic, Canada played a bg role in helping out the allies. The RCN (Royal Canadian Navy) Helped by assuming the role of an escort. They provided escorts to all allied convoy ships during the war. They guarded convoys so that allies could get their crucial supplies.

    After the Japanese attacked Pearl harbor, they then went on to attack the british colony of Hong Kong. To aid Britain, Canada sent in two battalions to help protect Hong Kong from the Japanese. 290 canadaians died 493 woounded and the rest ended up in camps.

    Dieppe was a frontal assault on the port of Dieppe in hope of recapturing it. Dieppe was used as a test run for "D-Day." Canada sent in men alongside the Britain to aid in the assault of Dieppe. This was the battle that prepared the allies for D-day and showed them how to improve their techniques and equipment.

    The allies invaded Normandy France in an attempt to push into Europe. Canada was put in charge of taking the section known as Juno beach. this was one of Canada's biggest contributions because out of all the beaches they were the only ones that accomplished thier goal. the allies later pushed through into Europe. #1 D-day was probably one of the most significant things for Canadians. Juno was one of the most heavily guarded beaches, Yet canada Broke through and completed all objectives.

    After the allies pushed through on D-day, they fought throughout Europe and were then dispatched to Netherlands. Canada played a giant role in this liberation. They sent in food and supplies to keep civillians from getting hungry. The Netherlands stilla ppreciate what Canada did to this day. they send us 10000 tulip bulbs each year.
