    The ISIS 2 is launched into outerspace. The ISIS 2 is a scientific satellite. Its purpose is "to continue ionospheric studies performed the two Alouette spacecrafts and ISIS 1".
  • Canada Centre for Remote Sensing

    The "Canada Centre for Remote Sensing" is built on April 1st, 1971.
  • STEM Antenna on Canadian Space Objects

    The STEM Antenna was created by George Klein. This antenna was later on used a lot on space shuttles and satellites in the 1970s. STEM antennas were attached to Canada's ISIS satellites that we launched into space.

  • Canada launches a satellite into space

    Canada launches a satellite into space called the "Anik A1". This is the first "domestic communications satellite in geostationary orbit", making Canada the first to have launched one into space.
