The Iron Curtain was a dividing line seperating Europe. The term "Iron Curtain" was coined by Winston Churchill. It's purpose was to secure Soviet states and satalite states, from non soviet states. -

Berlin Blockade
The blockade was set up to block western allies out of Berlin, which caused them to create the airlift. They wanted them to withdraw their " Deutschmark". -
The Airlift
The airlift was used by the Western Allies. It was used to transport goods into occupied Berlin. -
The Marshall Plan
The Marshall Plan was the plan, in which the United States would send 13 billion dollars to aid Europe and Asia. This money was supposed to rebuild the economy of these countries. -
The Korean War
The Soviet Union heavely aided the north Koreans. They provided medical supplies and several aircrafts. -
The U-2 plane crash
They Americans sent a spy plane over Soviet land. We shot that plane down and captured the Pilot. The Americans attempted to deny the fact that they sent a SPY plane over us. -
Bay of Pigs
The Americans were very nervous abourt us sending nuclear missles to Cuba. They even hired people to assasinate Fidel Castro. Castro was against American influence. The Americans tried to take out our airfeild, but we knew about the attack, so we had moved them out of harms way. -
Construction of the Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall was built to seperate east and west Berlin. This was was to seperate the "fascists" and the Communists. -
The Cuban Missle Crisis
We and the Americans had a pact, that if they promised not to invade Cuba, we would pull back our nuclear missles. The Americans secretly had missles in Turkey ready to fire on us.
