Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was the ending of the War of the American Revolution. It was signed by US and British Representatives. This granted independence and allowed the colonies to expand West. -

Townshend Act
The Townshend Act was designed to raise revenue for the British Empire by taxing the colonies on a lot of goods such as glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea products. The colonist were mad at this act and there was a widespread of protest in the colonies. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was when British soldiers opened fire on a group of American colonist, killing 5. The patriots were throwing objects at the British soldiers, in return the Red Coats opened fire on the colonist. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act forced the colonist to order tea from Britain. The American colonies were not allowed to buy tea from any other source so Britain could make more money from the colonies. -
Boston Tea Party
The Party was a protest that occurred in 1773. American colonist were frustrated with the Tea Act that had been put on them so they dumped 342 cheats of tea that was in the Boston Port. The tea was imported by the British East India Company. -
Intolerable Act
The Intolerable Act was a law passed by the British Parliament in 1774. The Parliament passed this act because of the Boston Tea Party to punish the colonist for their actions. Colonist began saying,” no taxation without representation,” after they passed this act. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress was delegates from each of the 13 colonies except for Georgia met in Philadelphia to organize colonial resistance to the act that have been placed on them. -
Lexington and Concord
The Battles of Lexington and Concord kicked off the start of the American Revolution. The British Military set out from Boston to capture leader Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington. Then the British set out to Concord to destroy weapons and ammunition. -
Second Continental Congress
The Second Continental Congress managed the colonial war effort, and working to get independence of the United States. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was written to gain its freedom the England. It was by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by the 2nd Continental Congress.
