When the two companies got with in 100 feet of each other, the Irish would taunt the Chinese. The Chinese were wounded by blasting powder. A couple days later, a mysterious explosion killed several Irish workers. -
Battle between Railroad Companies
They had a battle to see who could lay the tracks the fastest. -
Railroad finished
The railroad finished, and Central Pacific won. They layed the golden spike at Promotory Point. -
Chinese get left
All the workers went home but the Chinese didn't know what to do because they didn't speak english. They tried to find work some where else.
