  • Reform of Bill 1832

    The Revolution of 1830 in France frightened parliamentary leaders. They feared that revolutionary violence would spread to Britain. Thus, Parliament passed the Reform Bill of 1832.
  • Suffrage for working class men

    The People's Charter called for them. Parliament extends suffrage to working-class men.
  • Surrage for male rural workers

    To correct the ills of industrialization and urbanization, improve conditions for workers and the poor, acquire the rights for women that men had.
  • The Dreyfus Affair

    It was a political scanndal that from its beginning in 1894 divided France until it was finally resolved in 1906.
  • Chartist movement

    All demands became a law.
  • Rise of Zionism

    The Dreyfus case showed the strength of anti-Semitism in France and other parts of Western Europe. However, persecution of Jews was even more and severe in Eastern Europe. Russian officials premitted pogroms organized campaigns of violence against Jews.
  • Suffrage for women over the age of 30

    All of the women above 30 years old had the right to own property and vote.
  • Suffrage for all women of voting age

    The government gave ALL women the rights to vote over a ceratin age.
