    Around 40,000 years ago, we think that the Aboriginals may have discovered Australia, as we have a prediction that humans originated in Africa and that the Aboriginals used canoes / rafts to get to Australia.

    America became independent and refused take British convicts.

    In 1785, the House Of Commons decided that NSW was a suitable place to set up penal colonies.
