    The Battle of Plassey was 3,000 British East India Company soldiers against 5,000 soldiers of Siraj ud Daulah's and the French East Indian Trading Company. It began to rain and the British covered their cannon powder their rivals however did not and lost to the British.     Non-Cooperation Movement

    in September of 1920 Ghandi began the Non-cooperation movement. It was the first country-wide movement in India. People would do things like burn the foreign clothes which were a sign of bondage to Britain and make their own clothes. however when all of the major leaders except Ghandi were arrested and violence began Ghandi ended the movement in February 1922 and himself was soon arrested.

    Dandi March

    The Dandi march was where Gandhi marched from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, to protest against ‘state monopoly on salt'. After Ghandi's march all of India joined and began to boycott foreign goods and refused to pay taxes. The government imprisoned 90,000 people that participated in the first year.

    The Ghandi-Irwin Pact allowed the immediate release of all political prisoners put in prison for violence, fines that were not collected would be forgotten, confiscated lands not sold to a third person were to be returned. British Government also allowed villages along the coast to make salt. etc.

    The "Quit India" resolution was signed by Ghandi under pressure of the congress to do so. He did not believe in it and in the end was proved true, and all the prominent leaders were thrown in prison. It did however help in the push for an independent india.
