The Printing Press
Created a way to print on cloth or paper, began in 1300, grew more prominent in later years. Originally from Christian Europe. Started what we now know as assembly line printing. -

Morse Code
Created communication through stopping and starting a tone which defined certain letters. Connected via wired sources. Used as communication via pulses for military purposes as well. -
Minstrel Show
Began the want/need for touring acts in the u.s. - Although it portrayed racism, it became popular with both black and white culture, opened up the possibility for people across the nation to hear new music and watch traveling entertainment. -
Telephone
Connected people instantly via voice communication over a wired nation. Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell are just two influencers/known creators -
Radio
Brought music to the ears of every household. Sprouted interest in new popular music at the time (folk, country, etc.) Every one was now able to listen and learn music from their own homes. -
Camcorders
Sony creates new personal camcorder for the public to use. Opened doors for people to film every day life, technology has now brought us easier/simpler use devices. Created visuals for personal and public use. -
Internet
Connected the world via computer networks. People could now share any info/art form/or business via the web. Made world wide public databases for sharing. -
DAWs become available to public
Opened up the ability for anyone to record their own music. Which in turn created the ability for people to sell their own music or give it away. Made it more possible for artsits to create and share. -
Social Media
Created an easier, more social environment for people to share and connect. Technology has made social media even more accesible since its release and has made it even easier for internet users to recieve new or personal information.
