Its World war 2 and japan wanted to invade Timor but first they had to destroy the northern territories military defences so the Australian Army headquarters gave orders to the 43rd battalion who were stationed in Darwin. -

The 64th air raid was the last raid to happen on the NTs capital.
3 days later after the attack the 278 servicemen were missing and 243 people died and 300 to 400 people were injured. 20 millitary vessels were destroyed 8 ships that were anchored sunk
