    Knee Injury

    Jeremy Jacobs offered $295,000 a year for 5 years with Orr also to receive, on June 1st 1980, either a $925,000 payment or an 18.5% ownership in the Bruins Club. Chicago offered $3 million over 6 years, $1.5 million of which was guaranteed even if Orr could not play out his contract. Because Orr was unable to play, he had volunteered to take a cut in his salary. Instead of earning $500,000 a year as the $3 million contract had called for, he accepted a $200,000
