In 1000 AD the Vikings used longboats to fight near counties and trade like the Phoenicians. These longboats had up to 60 oarmen to rowed the boat. The longboats were really long and narrow so they can be used to travel down thin and narrow space in the ocean and rivers. -
Period: 1100 to 1450
Chinese Boats
Near 1100 AD the Chinese built boats junk boats to fight and trade items. These boats have rudders to steer the boat and the sails had a piece of equipment to make them stronger and watertight
