    At the very first voting civil rights movement Jimmie Lee Jackson got shot protecting his family. He was protecting his mom and his grandfather from a man who was trying to shoot them and he ended up getting shot. The people that were marching in march were doing this march now to finnish off

    The people marched up to the bridge and they got held up. State troopers and sheriffs were lined up and ready for them. They told them to go back to where they came from or their church. The people marching decided to pray. Then that was when the state trooper and sheriffs decided that they would attack.

    That day was the day of the march. They had the stuff they needed to spend over night in places and they had people that would make sure that they don't get harmed on the journey. They were ready and prepared for what might happen.
  • Hard rain day

    They were marching to Montgomery when a drizzle of rain starts to come down. Well that Little drizzle turned into very hard rain in a matter of seconds. People were wearing ponchos as they were setting up the tents to sleep in while putting hay in to stop u from sinking into the mud.
  • Thousands and speakers

    By the time they had reached the outskirts of Montgomery there were thousands of people that joined the march as the originals were marching along. When they got to the outskirts guest speakers like Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King jr..

    At the mid point they were stoped.....like last time. Police,state troopers, and sheriffs were blocking their way again. They had warnings for about 5 mins. and then they attacked. people suffured from injuries in their arms,legs,ribs, and skull.

    At last
    After months of hard work they had finally reached their goal. Lyndon Johnson signed the voting rights act of 1965. They were so happy. It took so long just for equal rights. Some people were not happy with this act. Altough the people who marched, were the most happy of all
