Eric Garner was killed by a police officer. After being put in a chokehold, Garner kept saying: “I can’t breathe.” And that police officer was not condemned. -

Laquan McDonald
Laquan McDonald got shot 16 times in 13 seconds by a police officer, Jason Van Dyke. Dyke decided to shoot at McDonald after he refuses to drop a three-inch knife in Chicago, Illinois. -
Tamir Rice
Tamir Rice was seen pointing a gun at random people in Cleveland, Ohio. A person called to police and the caller says Rice’s gun is "probably fake", but the information did seem not sent to an officer that came to the scene. After arriving at the scene, Loehmann, a police officer, shot Tamir twice and killed him. That gave rise to protest and on December 20, two police officers got killed by protestors in Brooklyn. -

Freddie Gray got arrested for possessing illegal weapons, such as switchblades. He dies after receiving injuries in police custody. -

Jamar Clark got shot in the head by police. That caused BLM movement protests outside the police station for 18 days. -

Police officers who had to search the Taylors' home ended up killing Breonna when she wouldn't let them in, not knowing if he was a real police officer. And that case hasn’t been resolved and is still being investigated. -

Derek Chauvin, a police officer, murdered George Floyd, a black man. Floyd was held on the ground with the officer’s knee on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds and officially pronounced dead in an ambulance. That caused massive protests all over the world. -

The U.S. House of Representatives passed George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. It would ban no-knock warrants in certain cases, “...prohibit racial and religious profiling and redirect funding to community-based policing programs.” -
