    James Pillans, a Scottish History teacher is known as the inventor of the blackboard because he placed a students clapboard in a wall, this way students would have a better view.

    They were used by students to write lessons and exercises. They made of slate (the sedimentary rock).

    They were invented in the 1960s. They were not really popular because they were expensive, they were invented to prevent health problems from inhaling the dust of the chalk.

    They're a mix between a computer, a video projector and a whiteboard. They work with digital pens. With this device you can work with a video, photo or file on the whiteboard.

    All these types of boards except the clapboard are still used in schools.
