The French and Indian War lead to the sighing of the treaty of Paris. France give up all North American territories, except New Orleans. Britain gained all territory east of the Mississippi River; meaning Britain had to recognize the independence of the United States of America. -

The French and Indian War drained a lot of money the British treasury. King George III and his advisers thought that the colonists should help pay for these wars; pioneering the Sugar act, taxing imports, and the Stamp act which taxes on newspaper and pamphlets. This outrage many of the colonists lead to events like the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. Which made tension between the colonists and Britain. -
The start of the American Revolution
The growing tension between the colonist and Britain. Lead to an armed conflict in Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts marking the start of the Revolutionary War. Congress came together to form the Continental Army. They barely won battles against the large British Army though. Making colonists kinda dived together from the British rule. -
Declaration of Independence
Second Continental Congress took a momentous step, voting to declare independence from Britain. With form a document that reflects John Locke's ideas of the government's obligation to protect people natural right, called the Declaration of Independence. It also listed ideas of popular sovereignty, which states that all government power comes from the people. Making the new United States of America. -

The End
In 1781, the french fleet blocked the Chesapeake Bay, which enable Washington to force the surrender of a British army at Yorktown, Virginia. With that defeat, the British war effort crumbled. Two years later, America, British, and French diplomats the signing of the Treaty of Paris, ending the Revolutionary War.
