People rarely went out to eat. Going out to eat was more of a treat to them. It is only used when someone is going traveling. Pioneers survived by eating meat, wild berries, and food they found in the forest. -
1879 culinary
There was a school named the Boston Cooking School. That School does cooking practices and following recipes.
Some of the food that they would eat are fruits and veggies that were grown on their farm. Even some families proceeded meat like poultry, beef, and pork. -
1885 Culinary Arts
This is when the hamburger was created. All people would use to cook food was open fires and or stoves. Most poor people only ate a slice of bread and watercress. A watercress is a leaf vegetable in the mustard family that has been nourishing humans since ancient times. -
1886
They would eat some of the same foods as 1879. Foods like beef, pork, etc. They cook their food by baking, roasting, frying, grilling, barbecuing, smoking, boiling, etc. For spices, they used allspice, pepper, nutmeg, and cloves. -
1887
They ate foods like chowder, beef, clam soup, Backed beans, etc. Some drinks that they would have are milk, coffee, and tea. A typical breakfast is porridge, eggs, fish, and bacon. -
1895 Culinary
There was a French journalist named Marthe Distel who had the idea of training women when it comes to the culinary arts. Some foods that were "Flaked Cereals." Such a corn cereals, Granose Flakes, etc. -
1900's Culinary
This period is when Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar was created. Crepes were also created during this time. A typical meal was Red flannel hash. This is made out of corn beef hash and veggies. -
1901
In Switzerland, Suchard introduced its first milk chocolate brand "Milka." Some foods that they had were eggs,bacon, and bread. Meats, potatoes, cakes, and pies were most common for people to have and to enjoy. -
Foods
They loved fruit smoothies, organic salads, and raw diets, but we also were obsessed with cupcakes and cake pops. They also enjoyed green tea and a drink called Pepsi Twist. -
Yummy
Bacon, Brussels sprouts, sliders, bacon, burgers, and bite-size desserts were the top foods that were eaten this year. We had gas stoves and ovens and electric ones as well by this time. -
Trends
Vegan, gluten-free, and even alcohol-free are trends that quickly become ways of life as people start feeling better about their diets. Other then that it was Pasta chips, Mug cakes, pink sauce, etc. -
Now
There are things called Olive Oil Coffee, Vegan Eggs, etc But, my only question is why would they come up with something like this?
