Frances Willard
She played a big role in the temperance movement. Her role in the movement was to eliminate alcohol. In 1870 she became the president of the Evanston College for ladies. She later became a dean at Northwestern University. She became the corresponding secretary of the Chicago Woman`s Christian Temperance Union in 1874. -

Charles A. Lindberg
Lindberg is known for being the first American aviator who made the first solo nonstop flight across the atlantic ocean on May 20-21 in 1927. He called his plane the Spirit of St. Louis. -
The Great Depression
This all started when people were to busy partying and spending money and they weren't paying attention to the economy and the stock crash, that when it hit them everything went down hill. It began in 1929 and lasted for about 10 years. The stock market crash wiped out investors and the banks had no money and people wanted their money which was no where to be found. -
Stock Market Crash "Black Tuesday"
The wall street crash which was also known as "Black Tuesday". This started the Great Depression because everyone lost their money and even the banks started losing money. Everyone started freaking out and pulling their money out of banks and that caused the banks to run out of money as well. -
The Dust Bowl
The dust bowl hit due to dry land and poor farming skills. This killed many people and animals as well as destroying crops. The dust bowl started in 1930 and lasted until about 1936. -

The TVA provided navigation, flood control, electricity generation, fertilizer manufacturing, and economic development to the Tennessee Valley. This helped with natural disasters and kept people protected. -
21st Amendment
This amendment was created in 1933 and it was FDR's idea. It repealed the 18th amendment which got rid of alcohol. Now the U.S has alcohol again as FDR tries to fix America. -

This was created due to the bank failures to help the failures of banks. This corporation insured bank deposits. -

They made rules to protect stock markets and they balance the rules. They were made during the new deal. -

Eleanor Roosevelt
She was a key component in the New Deal and she choose women representatives for the deal. She was a womens right leader and cared for the unemployed and the youth. -
