Charles Birth
On the 12th of February 1809 Charles Darwin was born to parents Susanna and Robert. This was in Shrewsbury. -
Build up to the trip
Charles went to Shrewsbury school for boys and he loved science. In 1822 Charles built a science lab as he wanted to practice it more often. He went to Cambridge to become a doctor but felt sick at the sight. Then later in 1825 he was sent to Edinburgh to become a vicar. He did not like a vicar and luckily he got a letter from John .S . Henslow telling him he could aboard the HMS beagle. This made Charles very very happy. -
The TRIP!!!!!
In 1831 Charles boarded the HMS beagle and travelled the world. He discovered Montevideo, Falkland islands and THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS (this was his main one) as a naturalist. -

Charles theory
Charles had a theory that humans had come from apes because the finches beaks; they had been different due to the type of finch lived on which side of the island. However this was not great as he didn't publish the book he made about the theory of evolution. Then Alfred Wallace had the same idea and this encouraged him to publish the book named " the origin of species " in 1859. This was a huge success and the public didn't have a go at him. The first batch sold out within only one day! -
Charles death
Unfortunately later in 1882 Charles passed away and got to be buried at Westminster Abby (a great achievement.) We remember him now as a great role-model to all young scientists out there.
