Washington and his men tried to defeat the Brtish at Germantown in October.Again they were defeated.Washington had tried to surprise the british.His men had marched thirty-five miles to Germantown and fought a four hour battle all in one day. -
Battle of Saratoga
This American victory in New York was the 'Turning Point' of the Revolutionary War,because the colonists won a major battle,Benjamin Franklin was able to get the French to support the Americans.Later on Spain also lent their support in the south. -
Surrender of Yorktown
Lord Cornwallis was the General of British.Cornwallis surrendered to Washington's camp.Americans had victory when the battle was over.
