Salvador, Brazil
Darwin explored Brazilian rainforests. He was alone when exploring the rain forests and he liked what he saw when he was in the rainforests. -
Punta Alta, Argentina
In Argentina Darwin sees fossils. He also believes that some of the fossils he saw are new. -
Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
The captain repatriates native people he brought to England. He also tried to make a Christian mission, but he failed at it. -
Falkland Islands
When Darwin got to this island he cracked open a rock and found fossils. This island was full of two-shelled animals that once walked the earth with many other organisms. -
Rio Negro, Argentina
Darwin explored lowland areas called Pampas. There was local people there. People enjoy the independent life very much! -
Chiloe Island, Chile
Darwin saw Mount Osomo erupt and he experianced an earthquake in the woods. He was affected by the aftermath of the earthquake. "I believe this earthquake has done more in degradingor lessening the size of the island, than 100 years of ordianry wear or tear." (Darwin) -
Galapagos Islands
Darwin found many species, but they are related to mainland species. Many animals on the island blended with the lava and some were bright colored. -
Sydney, Australia
Darwin wondered why there was a different set of mammals in Australia -
Cocos Islands
Studied coral reefs growing around islands. He did that to test his theory of atoll formation. -
Mauritius
Darwin observed that the plain is uncultivated and it consists if black lava smothered with coarse grass -

There is a lot of bullock wagons and table mountain. it is 3500 ft. -

Darwin discovered many creatures in South America. He was homesich and seasick...the ship took a detour and he was not happy with that
