  • The Start Of the Voyage

    On December 27th in 1831 Plymouth England Charles Darwin who was HMS inbox on the HMS Beagle voyage he was the ship's captain's assistant. The sea sickness he suffered was beyond imagination.
  • Cape Verde Islands

    In January of 1832 Darwin visited Cape Verde island he was exhilarated by his 1st observations and thought he might write a book on the geology of the various countries that he visited and he was thrilled with delight.
  • Brazilian rain forest

    In February of 1832 Darwin explores the Brazilian rain forest for the first time he saw a tropical forest in all its sublime grandeur he never experienced such intense delight.
  • Giant Fossils

    In September of 1832 Punta Alta Argentina Darwin is intrigued by giant fossils he states he has been wonderfully lucky with fossil bones and was sure that quite many of the ones he saw must have been new.

    In December of 1832 Tierra Del Fuego Argentina captain Roy Robert Fitzroy returns 3 native people he had brought to England on a previous voyage he attempts to start a Christian mission which Fails disastrously.

    In February of 1832 we crossed the equator And I have undergone the disagreeable operation of being shaved I was blindfolded by the constable An LED around buckets of water which thundered all around me I was placed on the plank which could easily be tilted into a large bath of water the whole ship was a shower bad this practice was disagreeable Ann alluded 2 IMO ships because it was sanctioned by time many condemned it as absurd and dangerous but also many liked it.

    In March of 1833 in the Falcon island Darwin finds Falcon irons Baron desolate and wretched he sees some primitive looking rocks and find fossils they were full of brachiopods two shell animals that once lived on the earth.

    In August of 1833 Darwin explores Rio Negro Argentina he explored the lowland areas known as pompous the local people there are called gauchos the local people are independent an gaucho life seems enjoyable.
  • Chile

    In January through February of 1835 Darwin While on the island of Chile in Chile Darwin sees mount Darwin also experiences earthquake and its aftermath which affected him tremendously he stated the earthquake did more degrading or lessening the size of the island than 100 years of ordinary wear and tear.
  • Galapagos

    In September through October of 1835 Darwin lands on the Galapagos islands. He finds many species of plants birds and tortoises that are unique to the Galapagos islands but they seem related to mainland species.
  • Sydney Australia

    In January of 1836 Darwin arrived in Sydney Cole in Sydney Australia marveling at the marsupials he wondered why there is a completely different set of mammals in Australia.
  • The Cocos Islands

    In April of 1836 stopping at the Cocos Islands Darwin studies the coral reefs growing around the island he wanted to test his theory of a toll formations he stated these formations rank high amongst the wonderful objects of the world.
  • Mauritius

    In May of 1836 Darwin visited the island of Mauritius where he took a quiet along the sea coast he state it was uncultivated consisting of black lava smoothed over with coarse grass in brushes the greatest part of which were mimosas.
  • South Africa

    In June of 1836 Darwin visited Cape Town South Africa Well he saw a number of block wagons in the well-known Table Mountain a great mass which is the height of 3500 feet.
  • South America

    In August of 1836 Darwin visited Bahia and Pernambuco, South America He discovers many incredible creatures he is homesick and dismayed when the Beagle make an unscheduled detour He stated the zigzag manner of proceeding was very previous and stated he loathed in abhored the sea and all ships which sail on it.

    On October 2nd in 1836 Darwin reached home in fall mouth England he stated his head was quite confused with much delight the Beagle ship was 90 feet long and carried 74 people had 22 clocks and they were in very close quarters.
