At 6 am Japanese planes from the first mobile force bombs midways installations. The marine corps suffered heavy loss but shot down a few key pilots. The Japanese strike leader called for a second strike. -

From 7-10 a.m. The U.S. sent in air forces to strike back and the Japaneses became aware of the U.S. navy carry forces. -
Battle ships sunk
At 10 a.m. Yorktown torpedo planes attacked Hiryu, dive bombers from the U.S. Air Force attacked Kaga, Soryu and the flagship Akagi. Hiryu escaped destruction yet Kaga and Soryu sank that night and Akagi was scuttled the next morning. -
Yorktown sinks
hiryu planes struck against Yorktown the dive bombers had 3 direct hits stopping her dead in the water after dog damage control efforts enabled Yorktown to get under way again. the torpedo planes hit her 2 more times and forced her to be abandon -
