this act gave england permission to stamp various items, signifing that there was a tax on it. this outraged many colonists as they saw it as an infringement on their rights as englishmen. this is where the term taxation without representation comes from -
BOSTON MASSACRE
The boston massacre was a tradgedy that helped spark the fire that lead up to the revolution. The violence started when a soldier was surronded by an angry mob getting attacked verbally and with various objects being thrown at him. after a while the other soldiers noticed the mob and surronded them with rifles and fired into the crowd without an order to do so. killing 3 people and wounding others. 2 more people died beacuse of their actions. -
BOSTON TEA PARTY
The boston tea party was a protest against the unfair taxes on tea in america. The protest was lead by a group of colonists known as the sons of liberty. the protestors dressed up as native americans and snuck on to a cargo ship and dumped all of the tea into the boston habour. -
