  • The Anschluss

    The Anschluss
The Anschluss was Hitler's first strategy to unite german speaking people in Austria. Hitler thought he should unify people under one empire. He threatened to announce an invasion upon Austria if Nazis weren't given important. The Austrian chanchellor was fearful and followed Hitlers instructions; Hitlers then sent troops into Austria to pronounce his unification("The Anschluss"). It showed Hitlers brutality and hatred for Jewish people.
  • The Munich Conference

    The Munich Conference
To avoid another war, British prime minister Neville Chamberlain granted Hitler appeasement. This included concessions in exchange for peace and also promised Hitler the Sudetenland if he promised not to take the rest of Czechoslovakia. Regardless, Hitler invaded and broke up Czechoslovakia soon after. This showed how controlling Hitler not only aspired to be, but how powerful he was becoming.
  • Danzig and the Polish Corridor

    Danzig and the Polish Corridor
After taking the Sudetenland, Hitler wanted Danzig. Part of Germany was separated by Poland at the end of WWI, so Hitler wanted to build a highway and railroad
across Poland to connect Germany, Danzig and
East Prussia. Britain and France knew appeasement failed, they said that they would support Poland if Hitler invaded and so they encouraged Poland to refuse Hitler’s demands. Hitler did not like disobedience and did not care for rules that he did not create, he lusted over power and control.
  • The Nazi Soviet Pact (NSP)

    The Nazi Soviet Pact (NSP)
When Hitler was preparing to invade Poland,
he negotiated with the Soviet Union to
keep the peace with them. Germany and USSR signed the Nazi-Soviet Pact. This pact kept USSR safe if Germany went to war against Britain and France(which would be in exchange for Poland). This showed that Hitler was untrustworthy, as he betrayed Stalin to achieve the NSP.
  • The War Begins

    The War Begins
On this date, Germany invaded Poland. The invasion started from the Soviet Union from the east. Two days later, Britain and France declared war on Germany; Germany blitzkrieg, or “lightening war” to take Poland. Hitler was ready to go to war, he had taken several actions beforehand and knew that invading Poland would start a huge disagreement. Hitler was spitefu and disobedient, untrustworthy but had the skills to lead. Regardless of his umoral choices.
