    Quebec act
    This set up a government for quebec and gave quebec the area west of the appalations. The colonists boycotted and fought against soldiers because of this.
  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    This act directed trade between britian and the colonies. It was a series of laws passed by parliment that assured britian only benifits from the colonies. The colonists hated this act and started smuggling and were angry toward the law because they wanted a better price for their goods.
  • Proclaimation of 1763

    Proclaimation of 1763
    This act set the appalation mountians as a border for the colonies. Britian wanted to get rid of the Indians and the French before they would let the colonists move in. Colonist hated this idea and wanted their land soone. This made trouble for britian.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    This act was supposed to to lower tax or sugar but to raise revenue and the colonists though this violated their right as English citizens.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This was an act that gave a tax on all printed documents. The colonists boycotted against the act, therefore, parliment was forced to repeal the act.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    This act stated that parliment had the right to tax and make desisons for the colonies in all cases. THe colonies didn't have a big reaction but the colonists still didn't like the taxes.
  • Townshead Acts

    Townshead Acts
    This law implyed only to imported goods, such as, glass, tea, and paper, with the tax being paid at the port of entry.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    This let the British East India Company sell tea directly to shopkeepers and bypass colonial merchants who normally distributed tea and they di this to help save the company. As a result, the merchants boycotted, the daughters of liberty made a pamphlet, and the colonists vowed to stop East India's ships from unloading.
  • The Coercive Acts

    The Coercive Acts
    This act was to punish the people of massachusetts for the resistance of British laws. This closed the boston harbor untill maachusetts paid for the ruined tea they had dumped off a trading boat. THis preventd food arrival and other supplies. This also forced people to house soldiers. The colonist had a fit about this because they were not getting the supplies they needed.
