- Able to confidently suck from a breast or bottle
- Able to reflexively grasp an object or finger that is placed in their hand
- Able to lift their head when laying on their stomach

- Able to make smoother movements with arms and legs
- Can hold head up and push chest up when laying on stomach
- Continues to have a strong sucking reflex

3rd Month
- Able to move fists from closed to open
- Able to bring hands to mouth
- Able to push up on arms when laying on stomach

4th Month
- Able to roll from tummy to back
- Pushes down on feet when feet are on a hard surface
- Drooling begins

5th Month
- Able to sit upright
- Able to roll over easily
- May begin early crawling

6th Month
- Able to rock back and forth
- Able to roll over in both directions -Able to support weight on legs and bounce when standing

7th Month
- Able to reach with one hand
- Able to transfer objects from hand to hand
- Baby bangs objects on surfaces

8th Month
- Able to sit without support
- Tries to crawl or may already be able to crawl
- Able to pull to a standing position using furniture or assistance

- Able to cruise furniture by walking
- Able to stand up unassisted
- Able to wave hi and bye

- Able to squat while in standing position
- Able to walk and/or take steps
- Can stack play items

- Able to grab finger foods and feed themselves
- Able to point and go for items they want
- Able to stand and maybe walk unassisted

- Able to cruise around an area
- Baby has full control of where they want their arms and legs
- Sit without any support or leaning
