After their use was superseded by modern transport, Many camels were shot by the police, Some cameleers released their camels to the wild because the cameleers don't want the camels to get shot. Many of the camellers went home. -
Japanese Pearlers
The Japanese Pearlers came to Australia because they were good divers and they needed the pearls not to sell them, but they got the pearls to make something useful. While local Aborigines were excellent swimmers, they know how to cover great distances over water, they sometimes escape imprisonment.
