    Government investigator James McBrien discovers traces of gold in the Fish River, east of Bathurst.
  • 1834

    Government John Lhotsky travelled to Monaro district of NSW and explored the south mountain. On his return to Sydney he studied these particles in rocks and found out it was GOLD!
  • 1840

    William BranWhite Clarke was a Clergyman and an amateur geologist discovered a whole track of gold at Hassan’s Well near Lithgow. William Branwhite was a priest. They presented those discoveries but Governor George Gipps tells them to put it away.
  • 1855

    The "Miners Right" exchanges the miners license in VIC.It was worth 1 shilling each year and it offers miners to have the right to vote. Over 10,000 chinese miners arrived at Melbourne because the goldrush there was major.
