Ho Chi Minh is installed as President of the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam.
Vietnam renamed to Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Few days later, Nationalist Chinese forces occupied Vietnam in order to disarm the Japanese. -

Allies interference
Unfortunately for Ho Chi Minh, the situation wasn't so straightforward. The allies had agreed that Incodhina should be temporarily occupied by Chinese nationalists (non-communists) in the case that Ho Chi Minh would start spreading communism. -

British General, Gracey, arrived in Saigon but wanted the return of France which resulted in Viet Minh organising boycotts and demonstrations against British but this failed. -

Compromise
Ho Chi Minh bargained with French after they came into Viet Nam. Ho agreed to allow 25,000 French troops in Vietnam for the next five years.
