Prenatal development and birth
I was born at 10:48 in southfield michigan at beumont hospital. -
The First two years: Biosocial
Not even one yet my parents found out that I could not breathe out of my left side of my nose. They rushed me to the hospital to find out there was a blocking. I had to get surgery and go to many doctor appointments for check-ups. -
The first two yeras: Cognitive
My frist word was said. "mama" I would repeat it and just keep saying it until I got someones attention. -
The first two years: psychosocial
I am close with my parents. I never want to leave their sides. The first day to drop me off at day care I would hold on to them tight, crying not wanting them to go. I would soon get over that phase and everytime after that I didn't put up a fuss. -
Early Childhood: Biosocial
In the past year I have only grown one inch. I was short for age and weighed very low. My sister was one year younger than me and she was taller then me. People always thought she was older then me. -
Early Childhood: Cognitive
First day of Kindergraten I was very excited. My sister was a grade older so I had someone to look up to. At my school the teachers played with all the students: read to us, played games, tought us many new words. After this year I learned over 10,000 new words to share and teach my younger siblings. -
Early Childhood: psychosocial
I played with kids that were the same gender as me. I thought very high of myself. I was the boss of everyone, so i would boss my sisters and my friends around. At recess in school I would yell at kids and was not the nicest kid out there. -
Adolescence: Psychosocial
Started my first long term relationship. This lasted over a year. -
Adolescence: Biosocial
When I reached 10th grade my body began to change.Puberty hit. I grew about 2 more inches this year and put on some weight because of the body change. -
Adolescence: Cognitive
Graduated from South Lyon East High School. -
Emerging Adulthood: Biosocial
I have been keeping in shape to run a 5K with my friends. Never felt any better after running this run. -
Emerging Adulthood: Cognitive
Graduated college from Michigan State University with a degree in nursing. -
Emerging Adulthood: Psychosocial
Wedding day. Found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with and making it official. We will be moving in together very soon and starting up are own little family. -
Adulthood: Biosocial
Almost turning 40. I proud to say I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I am teaching my kids to dance and have been coaching them in sports for many years now. -
Adulthood: Cognitive
I still am working harder and harder eachday with my job as a nurse. I keep learning new things each day. I plan to retire very soon. -
Adulthood: Psychosocial
My first daughter is expecting a girl. Her father and I could not be more excited to be grandparents. -
Late Adulthood: Biosocial
I am still active at this old age. Every morning i go on a mile walk with my dog enjoying every moment. -
Late Adulthood: Cognitive
I get diagnosed with dementia. This is hard on my family because i do not remember everything and I need a lot of assistance. -
Late Adulthood: Psychosocial
My husband past away and it was a rough time for me. My daughter placed me in an assisted living apartment. Nurses come and check up on me and give me medication every day. I am quite lonely now. -
Epilogue: Death and Dying
I did not get to live my last birthday. I died in my sleep because of old age two hours into of the day.
