    My tiny hometown, a small mountain town in western North Carolina, is home to the steepest and fastest canopy tour in the US. It has 11 zip lines that go from platform to platform, two repels, and a sky bridge. It's an adventure that drops you 1,1000 feet in elevation on the way down the gorge. I have done the tour twice since it has opened, and it is absolutely amazing!

    One of the benefits of growing up in a town with less than 800 people is that the only school in town was even smaller. With only about 200 students or less, we got to do a lot of fun things. For our 5th Grade field trip, the only 5th Grade class got to go to Carowinds, an amusement park on the North Carolina/South Carolina border. There were less than 25 of us on the trip because that's how many people were in the class, so it didn't cost much to take us.
