John Dalton

Ernest Rutherford

Known as the Father of nuclear physics. He discovered a series of discoveries in the fields of radioactivity and nuclear physics. He postulated the nuclear structure of the atom. He did lots of experiments. One showed that when alpha particles are fired into gas atoms, a few are violently deflected.
