    A letter was sent to President Roosevelt from Einstein and Szilard. The letters information was a warning about the fact that Germany was making an atomic bomb and advised him to develop the atomic bomb before Germany.

    President Roosevelt formed a group of scientists to work on the atomic bomb. This project is called " The Manhatten Project".

    Unfortunately, President Franklin D Roosevelt died on this day. From then on, President Harriet S Truman became president and continued the Manhatten Project.

    The test is called "The Trinity Test". They tested the bomb in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

    Enola Gay dropped a five-ton bomb on Hiroshima, called "Little Boy".

    3 days after the Hiroshima bombing, the US dropped another bomb on Nagasaki, called "Fat Man".

    Japan surrendered and signed papers to end the war.

    Soon after, scientists began to research the atomic theory deeply and later found that it helped them in the medical and scientific feileds of work.
