After hering about the Spanish and French, The English were inspired to colonize the americas. In 1606 England sent out 3 ships and 100 settlers to colonize North America, and, after monthes of sailing, they landed and nemed their settlement Jamestown. -
English Found Plymouth
Because They wanted Religious freedom, The pilgrims also wanted to settle in the americas. In 1620, They landed and created the second English colony, which they named Plymouth. -
French and Indian War Ends
After settling for a while, France and England began to fight over land in North America. Eventually, with the help of the British Army, The French were defeated, and England won the land.
